Agency Consulting in Strategic Family Therapy

Eileen Bobrow is an experienced agency trainer in strategic family therapy. From one-day workshops to multi-year training programs, she designs a customized program to meet the exact training needs of an organization.

Eileen trained under Jay Haley and Cloe Madanes, two of the primary creators of strategic therapy, at the Family Therapy Institute of Washington, DC before founding the Strategic Family Therapy Training Center at MRI. She has trained therapists locally, nationally, and internationally and has had students from more than a dozen countries study with her in Palo Alto.

Strategic family therapy is a constantly evolving model that has developed a number of problem-specific treatment approaches, some of which have been proven to be highly effective in national research programs. It is an especially popular model in treatment settings that deal with the range of problems common to social service and community mental health settings.

Eileen combines the use of didactic lecture, video presentation, and case consultation. When facilities allow, this frequently involves live supervision as well.

Internet video consultations are available as well.
